“Floriography is the secret meaning of flowers. This became extremely popular in Victorian times when flowers were given to convey concealed messages. There are also many cultural associations throughout history with flowers and plants having meanings and of course healing powers. In this exhibition I have chosen to depict my cottage garden favourites and popular floral bouquet flowers. Flowers are natures mandalas and this only seemed fitting for me to create intuitive patterns and mandalas within these works to convey the messages of these pieces.” ~ Statement by artist, Liane Worth
