Finding Comfort
a solo exhibition by Gabrielle Vines
Finding Comfort is a collection of work by Gabrielle Vines navigating the world around and within. Exploring comfort zones and uncomfortable spaces. Large scale paintings, ceramic displays and mixed media artworks.
Finding comfort in the; stillness of nature, sigh of a dog, company of a loved one.
The places you go in your head when you’d rather be anywhere else. Where do you go? What is your comfort zone?
Gabrielle is a Brisbane based multi media artist and art teacher. She is inspired by Australian nature and folk art. Intuitively creating work that aims to feel nostalgic and cosy. Find Gabrielle in her home studio in Albany Creek, teaching all ages at “My Art Space Studio for Kids”, at Santai pottery creating ceramics (her latest addiction) and exploring all the dog friendly trails with her cattle dog, Harvey.
Gabrielle will be sitting this exhibition from 9am to 4:30pm every day, so come, say hi and enjoy this opportunity of being able to support and engage with the artist directly!
