Professional Artist Series - Artistic Directions (June)

What do you want to do with your artistic career? Are you struggling to find a style and direction? Lacking motivation because you are unsure about what to do next? Let’s have a group mentoring session and talk about that.

An art career is exceptionally difficult to navigate at times and it can seem like you are simply struggling to break even and be noticed. So, during this session we will:

• Discuss work/life balance, your strengths and weaknesses as an artist and where you work like to take your art career (or whether you would prefer to remain a hobby artist)

• Set your creative goals

• Work out a plan for the next 6 months

• Critique one of your artworks

• Discuss your artistic direction and techniques

There will be catered light refreshments served during break time. Please let us know of any food intolerances or allergies ahead of time.

Jenny Woolsey - Book Launch

Come meet and have your book personally signed by Author, educator and artist, Jenny Woolsey at this FREE EVENT!

Jenny Woolsey, M.Ed. (Hons), is an author, potter, speaker, carer and disability advocate. She was born with a rare craniofacial syndrome and spent her childhood in Caboolture. Standing out as physically different meant life was hard, and Jenny bore the brunt of society's displeasure of seeing her. An inner strength and self-determination led to achievements and success. But Jenny's past was forever present, and she struggled throughout her adulthood with severe mental health issues, domestic violence, loss, low vision and her poor self-esteem. Her three children were also born with her facial difference, Down syndrome and autism.

Be Weirdly Wonderful! Embrace your differences is a practical personal development book combined with Jenny's life stories. In the pages you will find many of the strategies that have shaped Jenny into the strong, independent woman she is today.

The story is endorsed by Phyllida Swift, CEO of Face Equality International (based in the UK)
