We currently run 4 types of Exhibitions here at the Gallery:

Public Callout Exhibitions: We have four public callout exhibitions running in the 2025 year program. These are open to any artist to apply. Curatorial decisions are made by Gallery representatives in regards to acceptance in the exhibitions. All applicants are notified by email of the outcome of their applications.

Our 2025 Callout Exhibitions are:

  • Black and White (January)

  • Little by Little (February)

  • Landscapes (May)

  • Print is Not Dead (September)

Closed Callout Exhibitions: We have two closed callout exhibitions running in the 2025 year - our July anniversary exhibition, “Signature” and our December Christmas exhibition, “Deck the Walls”. Applications to these exhibitions are by invitation only.

Annual Cohort Exhibitions - This consists of privately run solo and group exhibitions of one week or 3 week durations. We run a support based program for our Exhibiting Cohort and as such work closely with our artists to ensure they are showcasing their work in the best possible exhibition they can. A lot of time is spent in exhibition development with artists, not only practically, but also in media, marketing and promotion. We also have an expectation that our artists support one another during their cohort year, attending each other’s events and promoting one another on social media.

In addition, we offer all Cohort Artists discounts on Professional Artist Series workshops being held at the Gallery in order to encourage the professional development of our artists during and beyond their time with us.

Our 2025 program is currently closed to applications, but the 2026 application period will open at the end of July 2025.

Who We Are

Starting from small beginnings as a Pop Up Gallery in an Unfinished Gallery, in April 2023 and then officially opening the Gallery with its inaugural exhibition, “Signature” in July 2023, we continue to strive to ensure we deliver an exhibition program that is interesting and visually appealing to the public, while being meaningful and professional for our artists.

This Gallery operates under the following guiding principles:

Support

We support our artists in a number of ways:

  • Through a variety of exhibition types and income diversifying opportunities. We currently have teams of artists that show work at local events such as Blue Water Festival and Einbunpin Festival, as well as Supanova Brisbane and Gold Coast and are currently investigating various larger art fairs and markets. We also run monthly Pop Up Street Stalls in Fifth Avenue, Sandgate.

  • Promotion and Marketing of individual artists that show their work with us through any of our exhibition opportunities. We also promote artists that have exhibited in our Gallery if they are having exhibitions elsewhere as we believe that the success of our artists, builds on the success of the Gallery and vice versa.

  • By providing a Professional Artist Series program that teaches essential career skills

  • Mentoring

  • Community Building. A solid community of artists that are supportive of one another moves everyone ahead and forward together.

Development

Development as a professional artist both practically and through understandin how to navigate an art career is essential for any artist today.
