Introduction to Linocut

This workshop is presented as a part of Bayside Open Studios. Learn the basics of relief printmaking using techniques you can easily do at home. Printmaking is an accessible medium, and this workshop will teach you how to print without an expensive printmaking press.

You will carve a 15 x 15cm block, proof, and print your artwork. You will then be able to take your block home and continue printing from there. You'll learn safe practices for carving, how to ink and prep your block, and how to create a consistent set of prints.

Cost: $90 pp

Supplied: 15 x 15cm lino block, paper, ink, tools, gloves etc

To Bring: Your 15x15cm image, or an idea that can be drawn quickly (e.g. flower in a vase, fruit, shapes, patterns) apron, linocut tools (if owned)
