Terms and Conditions of Entry to Et Al Gallery and Studio

 

Below is stated the terms and conditions for entry to Et Al Gallery and Studio

Breakages

1.       Any damage or breakages, either accidental or otherwise, to artworks or to the Gallery, and its property must be paid for in full prior to leaving the premises.

Photos and Media

1.       We allow photos to be taken of the artworks in the Gallery for personal reference only. Any publication of these photos without appropriate credit to the Gallery and the Artist will require you to remedy this with appropriate credit. If you fail to provide appropriate credit to Artists and the Gallery, you will be asked to remove the media. Should you not do so, you will be found in breach of copyright and legal proceedings may follow.

2.       We do not give permission for you to reproduce any photographs or recorded media for your own financial gain under any circumstances. Reproduction of prints for sale is strictly prohibited.

3.       By entering this premises during an event night, you agree to our media policy (see appendix 1). Any requests not to take your image will be honoured to the best of our ability and should your images be reproduced after you have requested it not to be, we shall immediately take it down from any media or marketing in which it appears.

Following the Australian Consumer Guidelines as outlined by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission as quoted above our refunds and exchange policy is:

1.       All artworks are sold as is. Please inspect the piece fully to ensure that it is in the condition you would like.

2.       Any damage to an artwork occurring after it leaves the premises will not be compensated.

3.       Any returns of artworks due to “change of mind” will not be refunded. An exchange may be negotiated with the Gallery during the timeline of the exhibition the purchase was made provided that the exchange is of equal value to the original purchase. If the artwork being exchanged is of lesser value to the artwork replacing it, the consumer is to pay the balance of the difference between the two artworks.

Conduct

1.       We reserve the right to refuse access to any individual who we deem to be intoxicated, abusive or under the influence drugs.

2.       Physical or verbal abuse of our staff, volunteers and/or artists will not be tolerated under any circumstances and will lead to your immediate ejection from the premises.

3.       We have a zero tolerance policy on sexual misconduct, racist, sexist, religion or gender based words or actions at the Gallery. Any evidence of this will be documented and you will be asked to leave the premises and not return.

4.       As we often have breakable items or artworks of a controversial nature (including nudity and/or sensitive themes), we ask that children be always accompanied by an adult.

5.       We may refuse access to animals (excluding service animals) due to the fragility of many of our items in our exhibitions.

Security

1.       We have security cameras operating in the gallery 24 hours a day recording both video and audio. These recordings are not used for any other purpose other than in matters of security, theft, damage or dispute.

2.       Any theft of artworks will be dealt with by the proper legal authorities.
